I haven't been here at DA for a very long time. I haven't really been a huge component of this 'community', if you could call it that'. I'm not even really here for the community. Just here for an occasional crit. of mine and others works.

I really never had any interest in the community what so ever. I started recently browsing the forums, occassionally posting, rarely getting a response.

My main peeve about this community is the amount of ass-kissing that seems to go around here. Take a look at the DDs for example. The comments are always that of admiration and congratulaiton. None have any critcisms, except for a few random posts about how an arm was drawn unproporitonally, or how harsh the contrast is.

The DD to me, is like an end-all of any progress you can force yourself to make. Its an easy blow-up to inflate your ego. Occassionally you see comments that tell you 'its good and all, but blah'. Mostly its just "I LUV UR WORK , LOOK AT MY GALLUREE".

If I ever get a DD, im disabling comments.
